September Update

I’ve started work on the second iteration of Chapter 12 now, with about 15 000 words written and probably another 40 000 or 50 000 to go. Once that’s done, it’ll just be the epilogues and the side-content before Lords of Infinity is text-complete.

Of course, that doesn’t mean it’ll be ready for release. There’ll probably be months of editing, polish, balancing and the like before that. I’ll also have to do cover art and a whole bunch of support work as well. Still, it’ll be good to have the writing done soon.

This month’s A Creator’s Guide to Writing and Worldbuilding, A Soldier’s Guide to the Infinite Sea, and An Adventurer’s Guide to the Fledgling Realms, are now all up as well.

When will we a get a release date on Lords of Infinity or maybe an approximation?

  • Arturo d'al Sancroix

    Just finished Guns of Infinity.

Guess i’m lucky to be this late with the saga. lol.

¿Almost finished with the third book?

    Yeah. I’m lucky.

Super excited to read the next book, and thanks for your constant effort.

Good luck with the few things left! 😀

A thought occurred to me the other day and I couldn’t get it out of my head. The thought took root when I read about Callum the cunning, is it possible for the dragoon officer to use his position and the predicament at the capital in a way to destroy the debt by let’s say burning the bank down? Just a thought 😉

i think the point of to serve your country, so that the country is better off. if you burn down the bank just to hide you debt i guess you do win, just at the expanse of everyone else.

Hmm, yes indeed the consequences of such an act will outweigh the benefits. Just considering all available options. I think the only person capable of figuring something out is someone with Gaius Jullius Caesar’s capabilities. I wonder what he would do? Have good day.

I am so utterly pumped by this, I’ve never been a big text based game kind of person but the way in which the first two were written had my mind visualising every last detail, I’ve been waiting a good minute for this and I cannot wait, shut up and take my money you have more than earned it

    Paul,
I tried the demo and love your series. I can’t wait to buy and play the finished game. However, I wanted to comment that you should make balances to the estate/fief gameplay. I feel like it shouldn’t take 6 months to build a fence whereas in the same 6 months I could completely rebuild the roads of an entire barony. That does not make any sense. Also, if I have the gold and I successfully integrate the Antari or otherwise rebuild my population (200 plus etc) why do I only still get 1 option to build something? Surely I have the resources to build a fence and a school right? I don’t know, just wanted to put that out there.

True, he did said after completion there will be a lot of balancing and much is needed for barony route, even with ransom money and not doing major projects you can’t build the barony whole.
I think if we have higher intelligence we must be able to regulate several projects at the same time, to balance it out we must hire the workers from outside the barony with increased expense, but idk I’m just excited and you know better.

I remember when people were saying the next release was going to come in 2019. It was 2017 when they were saying that, lol.

It’s so close I can taste it. Love ya, Paul.

A question that comes to me from SOF, why couldn’t the MC be a banecaster? I know the importance of banesense at least twice in the game, but wouldn’t a banecaster have been more beneficial to his career?

    • Hassan Aftab

The mc didn’t decided to not be a banecaster, circumstance did, only one in 100000 banebloods can be a banecaster, also the story doesn’t provide us cliche troupes where we are either overpowered and all the stacks are in our favor or kicks us too hard in the nuts like Cazarosta, another reason can be that manipulating bane will shorten the lifespan of the person and that will mean those who picked older age will not have much time left after the lords of infinity.

  • Amenadiel

Would the idea of a romance with Isobel be unreasonable? Even if it was secret and couldn’t end in marriage?
Speaking of marriage, with the MC having both brothers old enough, having the option to marry only the sister and not the brother also have any specific reason in the future?

We are craving for it paul can’t wait for it to be played it is worth every penny and of course the wait.
