Paul Wang was born in Jinan, China in 1991. After spending much of his childhood living in multiple towns and cities across Canada and the United States, his family would eventually settle in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. He developed a love of history, science fiction, and fantasy from an early age, and began to hone his creating writing skills through forum role-playing and short story writing in his high school years. After a foray into browser-based game development, he began writing professionally in university, with his first published work, Sabres of Infinity releasing in 2013.
After graduating from Simon Fraser University with a BA in History in 2015, he devoted himself to writing full-time. He now lives in Burnaby, British Columbia with his wife.
