August Update

Needless to say, I’ve had a pretty eventful month so far. Aside from my computer breaking down, I also got pretty badly sunburned after going outside for the first time after my second vaccine dose. Work’s been a bit slow.

Still, I’m almost finished the first half of the last chapter of Lords of Infinity, with about 65 000 words done and maybe at most 10 000 or so to go, so this month hasn’t been a complete wash.

Of course, I’ve also had the time to do this month’s A Creator’s Guide to Writing and Worldbuilding, A Soldier’s Guide to the Infinite Sea, and An Adventurer’s Guide to the Fledgling Realms, which are all available on the website now.

Had some time off work and decided to revisit hosted/choice of games I used to play. Replayed Sabres and guns and decided to look up if anything was happening with Lord’s. So excited to see you still working on Dragoon Saga, it’s my favorite series and your writing transports me to that world. Good luck and be well

Hello there, first of all I am very glad that your magnificent piece of work is going to be completed after all this time. Now I have a question which I would like it to be answered, so spoiler alert!

One thing that I cannot understand is how the system in Tierra works in regards to taxes. I do know that bane bloods are exempt from taxes unless take any trade which ain’t military. The bane less what is their deal some of them are tenants in the estates of the bane bloods and they pay taxes too. What I want to know is that how does Wulfram’s budget affects all of this, does it only deny the crown from getting their due and the lords and the dukes will still collect what is their due or the people are just exempt from taxes for a while? and also something else is that do barons pay a cut of their income to their liege? Let me thank you beforehand for reading and answering, I am a bit confused about these and want it all to be cleared out before diving into these deep.

I’ve played Sabres of Infinity and Guns of Infinity a thousand times over and over, I can’t wait to play Lord of Infinity. But it makes me sad that it will probably be the last game of the trilogy.
